Altera partners with PC PAL to advance paediatric growth charting in the UK

Altera, a leading provider of electronic patient record (EPR) solutions, has entered into a new partnership with PC PAL to offer advanced growth charting within its Sunrise™ EPR system.

Through the integration of GrowthXP, PC PAL’s world-class paediatric growth charting application, Sunrise users in the UK can access an augmented depth of data to support accurate growth monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The first client to benefit is the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (https://www.alterahealth.com/newsroom/maidstone-and-tunbridge-wells-nhs-trust-revolutionises-paediatric-care-with-altera-sunrise/).

Mark Hutchinson, Executive Vice President, Altera Digital Health (UK & EMEA), said: “We are delighted to bring world-leading growth charting capabilities into Sunrise, and proud to see Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust lead the way with our first UK implementation. This achievement demonstrates the capability and flexibility of Sunrise, enabling NHS organisations to integrate best-in-class resources that directly enhance patient outcomes.”

This collaboration reflects both companies’ shared vision of providing innovative, evidence-based digital health solutions that empower clinicians and improve outcomes for children.

For more than 30 years, PC PAL has specialised in developing a comprehensive suite of child growth charts and associated calculations. GrowthXP is fully interoperable with most major EPR platforms and provides an extensive library of growth references, including local UK standards. It also covers over 50 rare disorders, giving clinicians access to an unrivalled depth of data to support accurate growth monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
