The 61st annual meeting of ESPE, held in The Hague (September 21-23) focussed on global challenges in paediatric endocrinology. The rising prevalence of obesity is becoming a more significant issue in low- and middle-income countries. New BMI charts for 2-18-year-olds, which provide curves above the 97th percentile (98th, 99th, 99.9th and 99.99th), is timely. At ESPE, PC PAL demonstrated these new BMI charts within the GrowthXP charting app.
